infoAware™ Notification Application
The infoAware™ Notification Application is primarily
responsible for the presentation of resulting information on wireless devices.
The user may specify, that especially urgent information be relayed not only to
the workstation but also to a cell phone or pager, amongst others. This will usually
require significant reformatting
of the information to suit the capabilities of the chosen device.
The Notification Application takes care of this reformatting and the transmission
of information to the target device.
In special cases the information created by infoAware™
may need to serve as input to other operational applications.
For example, it may be required that an alert situation detected by infoAware™
must lead automatically to the generation of a new ticket in a Helpdesk System.
In these cases the Notification Application treats the application (the Helpdesk
system) as just another device that needs input and uses the application's defined
interfaces to create this input. |
